Fingerprint

This piece is centered around the idea of capturing the individuality of a person through their own skin. In the same way a fingerprint can be used as a personal identifier, the patterns of a person’s freckles are entirely unique to that individual.

This piece was also one of the first that I inked in this style. This was the beginning of a period during which I was primarily focused on making inked pieces. So, the title Fingerprint is also symbolic of me finding my own artistic style and “fingerprint” that I would carry on to many of the subsequent works I was doing during this time.
